‘ What a tremendous blessing to be standing nowhere else but right here and now in these two shoes of mine ‘
I’ve stolen Dom’s first words of his speech which perfectly sum up my feelings of his and Bella’s wedding celebration.
‘ Man is known by the company he keeps ‘.
Bella, Dom and myself have a connection, that connection is my old friend Rosie who, was the catalyst for me to have the good fortune to be standing in a beautiful field in the heart of the Sussex countryside bathed in perfect sunshine as Bella and Dom’s wedding day unfolded in front of me.
I arrived at Bella and Dom’s converted barn in the late afternoon on the previous day and was immediately struck by the strong connection of their friends, who, were busy setting up for the next days celebrations. It was immediately obvious to me that this was a group of people with a strong sense of community and a common spiritual bond. There was an unmistakable sense of love in the air. These friends used this love to create the beautiful visuals for the day of which my favourite has to be the breathtakingly simple brilliance of a large quartz rock and flower heads, used as the focal point for the ceremony at the base of an old English Oak.
Big love to Bella, Dom, your family and friends for creating this day.
This wedding will stay with me.
