Bridal Beauty Glamorous Red Carpet Make-up Story

I’ve been waiting to share this shoot with you for a while that myself and the uber talented hair and make-up human Kate Hughes shot a couple of months ago. Our starting point was a stronger Red Carpet glamorous look. Super beautiful accessories and a big thank you to Kelly Spence bridal hair adornment and accessories, more thanks and praises to Minna Hepburn  for the dress from her Indiebride collection. I’ll hand over to Kate now for the full on make-up know how.

” Brides-to-be everywhere are searching for that perfect bridal look for their special day. While choosing the perfect dress is a massive decision, the makeup and hair choice is just as important! I feel that bridal make up should look luminous and healthy not too glossy or matt, a polished version of herself enhancing the natural features – at her most radiant and beautiful.
I have found that the ultimate trend for brides right now is red carpet glamour, this type of radiant make up reflects a vibrant lifestyle also luxury and perfection and this was my inspiration for the looks I created “.

“For this ultra glam look on our model Emily above, I went for dark sultry eyes blending shades of super-pigmented glistening metals from gold to bronze for a new take on molten metallic’s adding depth and contour, lustrous lashes paired with a modern strong brow to frame the face, polished skin flushed cheeks and a rose, nude matt lip giving a perfect balance to this modern look. We added the black wide netting for instant glamour”.

“The 1920’s have also influenced the wedding industry. One of the most stunning features of this era is the beauty. Brides are drawn to this style because of its classic lines, colours and intense glamour. Above my super-luxe take on this look I went for a metallic smoky eye with generous amounts of black liner blended at the roots of the lashes for maximum impact, paired with bold brows to balance the smoky eye and long flirty lashes, cashmere skin and a soft rosy glow on the cheeks. Finished with a bold, poppy matt red statement lip complimenting the models full lips, giving an end look that is polished and current but also elegant and timeless”.

Another variation on this with added beautiful Kelly Spence head piece.

“The look I went for on our model Harry was a boho-chic romantic feel, to match Kelly Spence’s beautiful head piece and Minna Hepburn’s Indiebride dress. She really steals the beauty show with this stunningly simple yet dramatic look, soft matt smoky eyes with shades of aubergine, black and, graphite grey teamed with intense black eyeliner and a defined statement brow, contrastedwith luminous flawless skin and pink flushed cheeks. I increased the radiance by sweeping highlighter over the brow bones in the eye sockets and across her cheek bones, nose and cupids bow for a healthy fresh glow, paired with satin rosebud pink lips to finish the look”.

And still gorgeously glam in black and white.
