Today we’re going back in time, this next post is very personal for me, this was my first informal stab at wedding photography. Daisy was my daughter’s drama teacher in primary school, we met in the playground obviously, she was getting married and myself and the daughter were invited as guests. I was toying with the idea of becoming a wedding photographer so this was the perfect opportunity for me to dive in. There was an official photographer on hand for the after ceremony portraits so I wanted to get Daisy and her bridesmaids getting ready at the family home along with the informal reportage style photography during the day (obviously before far too many glasses of champagne kicked in !). The day was super gorgeous, Daisy and Jonny were married at the Actors Church Covent Garden which was made possible as Daisy’s family have a long gone relative who was well known back in the Victorian Music Hall days as the first actor to use a colloquial style of speech. Looking back now this was the perfect introduction to a new direction in photography for me. Thank you Daisy and Jonny. X.
Oh, and check what happens when you give an 8 year old your spare camera, scroll down to find out !
Credit for the following six shots must go to my daughter, she pleaded for my spare camera to take some portraits. Thank the lord I caved in, I super like the perspective and reaction from the guest’s at an eight year old wedding photographer ! Every wedding pro should have one in the kit bag.
….. and the young lady herself.
